Why not support us by volunteering?
Volunteers work for us at all levels and are able to gain experience, satisfaction and enjoyment from their valued contribution. We currently have a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone interested in Helpline cover or being a part of our Empowerment Team.

We are looking for volunteers to cover 4-hour sessions on our Helpline for people mostly or fully recovered from benzodiazepine and/or antidepressant withdrawal who are ready to move on and create a new life chapter. The line is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. You will need to be:
- A good communicator
- An empathic, pragmatic and active listener
- Have a good understanding of the issues related to withdrawal and its repercussions
- Able to be part of a volunteer team
- Available for at least two 4-hour sessions each fortnight
Note: Due to the extensive nature of our training programme, we ask for a minimum commitment of one year. You will be provided with regular supervision to support you in your role.
If you fit the above criteria and have the time and enthusiasm to make a commitment to working with us for at least one year, please email us at vacancies@recovery-road.org to express your interest and an application pack with full details will be sent to you.
